Trust In Our Elected Representative:   Lead by example.  Let our actions demonstrate that people (Men & Women) of integrity are willing to come forward and serve for the benefit of doing what is right.

Statism:   Growth of government into a hyper-expensive, debt-mongering, overly regulatory and un-Constitutionally intrusive juggernaut took many years to grow. A reasonable, surgical, steady approach to cutting excessive taxes and stopping the over-the-top spending and decreasing over-regulation is the proper, effective, ethical way out of this mess.  (I wrote this in 2014.  While President Trump addressed these same issues, he failed to address the urgency of reducing the national debt during his first term.  This was primarily due to the Republican Establishment failing to use their majority status in 2017-2018.)

 

Immigration Reform:  My 4 Part Immigration Plan (See below) requires the erection of a fence /wall from sea to shining sea in one year, providing a means for illegal aliens to obtain a provisional social security card, 6 months after an immigration law is passed.  After the 6-month "come of the shaddows", the remaining illegals would will be deported.  All illegal alien convicts will be deported.  A condition of citizenship will be speaking English.

 

Ken Cope's Immigration 4 Part Plan: 

1. Secure the border with a fence, to be built in one year using the Army Corp of Engineers and stretching from sea to shining sea. (The 1,700 mile ALCAN Highway was built in 8 months).  Also included with be:

   • High tech surveillance, including tunnel identification using seismic technology

   • A highly mobile Border Patrol with air assets and drug sniffing dogs in abundance  (Less than required to support today’s ineffective approach).

   • At the Governor's discretion, National Guard units would be used in providing logistics and infrastructure. The U. S. Constitution allows states to defend themselves when being "Invaded".  By any standard, the immigration invasion meets this requirement and Governors must use all means at their disposal to stop illegal immigration.

   • Law enforcement agencies will start recording Hispanic crime and illegal alien crime which it does not today.

2. Overhaul the immigration entrance system by:

   • Lowering fees to a reasonable and affordable level for all imigrant.

   • Simplifying and accelerating the process (Cross balancing existing resources by reducing the number of illegal immigrant prisons and their staffs to the administrative requirements in support of this activity.)

   • Issuing "provisional" Social Security cards upon "coming out of the shadows".

   • Offering illegal aliens an opportunity to become documented workers who pay taxes and serving as 'first responders" or in the U. S. armed forces.

   • Limiting the number of immigrants overall, denying anyone with a criminal record and anyone previously deported.

3.  Illegal aliens who do not come forward and out of the shaddows within 6 months of the passage of this law risk deportation upon detection.

4. All incarcerated illegal alien convicts will be deported when the border fence/wall is complete as will all illegal aliens with prior convictions. (very significant crime reduction and cost savings)

   • Return the incarcerated illegal convicts to their home of record, with or without the approval of their home governments.​

   • Transfer the resources currently used to incarcerate and "re-habilitate" these illegals to reducing the administrative processing time for the legitimate imigrants seeking the freedoms and opportunities of our country.

 

Restoring Capitalism:   Specifically remove job-killing EPA over-regulation, terminating all quotas, ending affirmative action, enacting my National Sales Tax, mandating a debt ceiling (see below), and reforming Social Security (see below).  Also, eliminate the Department of Education which is currently corrupting our youth and destroying the American dream.  

 

Debt Ceiling:  No representative should vote to raise the debt ceiling limit except for emergencies such as war and major natural disasters.  Those measures would be temporary with repayment plan built in or they should not vote for them.  Furthermore, they should work steadfastly at all times and on all bills to lower the debt, spending, and tax rates.  NO BILL SHOULD BE PASSED before it is completely read, reviewed and analyzed by the legislature.

 

The Right Of The People To Keep And Bear Arms Shall Not Be Infringed:  Our best protection is for more law abiding citizens to arm themselves.  Studies and evidence proves that where more citizens are allowed to carry a weapon, the crime goes down.  Unfortunately, even the mentally unstable have rights provided to them by the Constitution that we must respect or our rights are of no value.  This is a social / society problem and not a problem of the right to possess arms.  There simply is no way to stop deranged murderous maniacs and drug-gang criminals from obtaining firearms (Fast & Furious was a horrific operation and anti-gun PR stunt) EXCEPT with gun carrying citizens.  Every attempt at gun control has been a ruse to disrespect and disarm the law abiding American citizenry and attack the basic God given right of self defense.  Guns DO make us safe. Please exercise your Constitutional right to carry a concealed gun.  I DO!

 

I do NOT support registration, background checks, concealed carry licensure, or any sort or type of intrusion on the right of a free people to keep and bear arms without any governmental monitoring.

 

New Breed Conservative Republican Leadership:   Our party has allowed itself to be identified as a heartless and non-caring group of right wing extremists.  In the process, the party has alienated the Tea Party, minorities, women and the poor.  This is not the party that I believe that it should, and CAN BE!  I believe that our party can and should actively appeal to these groups through actions and a presence in their neighborhoods and lives.  We must re-take the high ground and communicate, “Come HOME to the Republican Party”.  In the process and as conservatives, we must preserve property rights, personal liberties, uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. We have seen the economical failures, its affect upon the fabric of society, and upon our rights by establishment professional moderates who always capitulate and cave in to the left. We need strong men/women of conviction and steadfast faith.  I will NEVER vote in support of abortion, to cite but one example.

 

Term Limits And Campaign Finance Made Reasonable:  Every federal elected official and the Supreme Court should be limited to 12 “cumulative” years. Career politicians have severely harmed our great nation. Furthermore, it should not take millions of dollars to win an election.  Career politicians have corrupted and allowed influence-peddling into the process and has given us the worst political class in history. The American people must vote to clean out the temple of the money changers.  Clean-up can begin immediately with a "Convention of the States" and the repeal of the 17th Amendment.

 

Foreign Relations:  Stand by Israel steadfastly, and stand strong against our enemies. Each hostile state should be treated in a manner specific to the issues.  For example, Iran wants nuclear weapons and we must prevent that by any means necessary and we must let them know we will.  Nations engaging in corporate espionage or economic tampering will be met with tariffs greater than the amount gained nefariously. Most importantly, America must return to her roots of a government that rightfully respects the American citizenry, and government must allow our economy to flourish where it can, once again, be Ronald Reagan's shining city on the hill.  (I am proud of President Trump's leadership and gains in these areas.)

 

Ethnic And Poor Genocide By Abortion:   Killing babies for contraceptive convenience is reprehensible. Beyond the obvious and disgusting murder of innocent babies, there is massive cultural, spiritual, and personal decay over abortion. Furthermore, babies have rights, especially the right to safety in their own mother's womb. The feminist left has had their day.  It's time to right the wrong of Roe V Wade decision.  I support a Constitutional Amendment outlawing abortion. At what point did you and I become a member of the "We The People" of the Declaration of Independence?  I believe that is at the point of conception.  As a member of "We The People", unborn babies are entitled to all the same protections as all "born" members.  If we declare that they are NOT members until they reach birth, then what is to stop the legislature from declaring that "We" are no longer members after the age of ___?  Nothing!

 

Constitutional Convention:  I support the following Amendments and actions:

• The Reflexive Amendment.  All laws passed by Congress apply equally to the American people and to the members of Congress.

• Repeal the 16th Amendment.  First, this removes an illegitimate amendent which was enacted by smoke and mirrors.  It was not approved according to the process defined by the Constitution.  Secondly, this removes the authority of the FEDERAL RESERVE.  It has nothing to do with the Federal Government.  It is a "private" organization that has, and is, milking the prosperity from all American activities under the ruse that it is all for the good of America.  It is only for the good of its private member banks.  Lastly, this would allow the elimination of the IRS as we know it today.  We need to remove this corrupt organization.  Our government needs funds to perform the things that we need.  However, the corrupt form of IRS today can be replaced with a much simpler and cleanner system.  While I propose my 5-0-3 plan, other plans may also achieve the same goal.  A convention could be open to new ideas.

• Repeal the 17th Amendment.  Return elections for the Senate to control by the state legislatures. The media has taken control of these federalized elections and that is why we suffer a leftist Senate today due to the corrupt money flow supporting the candidates.

• A Balanced Budget Amendment.  The federal government budget shall be tied to GDP at a fixed percentage with a slight reduction in debt of 1% annually mandated.

 

Social Security:  Reduce the Federal Reserve reimbursement rate from 6% to 4.2%. Younger citizens will have the option of opting out of social security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and will take care of their own retirement and medical insurance needs. Many disabled and certain others enjoy sky-high payments from Social Security.  This gaming of the system will stop. Social Security's very high payments will decrease by a small percentage annually until no payment is greater than 120% of GAO calculated special medical needs and cost of living.

 

Veteran Support:  Our Veterans have heroically defended and sacrificed for our freedom and our security.  I strongly support all Veterans support efforts, especially the Wounded Warrior Project. I am a Disabled Veteran, leave no Soldier behind is not just a saying, it's how we Soldiers live.  We must vigorously bring forth more understanding of the issues our Veterans face and each of us must be a beacon of aid to all Veterans.  Specifically, we must modify the incorporation of Military Reserve Members into the VA system in a way that recognizes their levels of commitment and "mandatory" physical conditioning even when not on active duty.  The VA is NOT treating these members fairly and the VA uses its bureaucratic processes to reject legimate claims.

Obamacare:   This 2,300  page behemoth law lacks the commonly and almost always present severability clause. Therefore, it cannot be amended or repaired. Obamacare is un-implementable. The exchanges don't work.  The site has failed. Costs have skyrocketed. Millions have lost coverage.  The taxes and increased costs have yet to arrive. Obamacare must be repealed.  The Republican party owes an effective plan that reduces medical costs while providing for the needs of Americans.
