How Am I Different?
-
I am not a career politician. "Establishment Politicans" have spent their entire career running for office and always seeking the next political step in his career. My career has been about coping with everyday life, like most other Americans. In the military, where I retired as an Army Lieutenant Colonel, I learned self control, dignity, respect and, above all, leadership. These same traits helped me achieve an executive level position at Triumph Group (formerly LTV Aerospace, Vought Aircraft, and Northrop Grumman). There I earned a reputation of being honest, aggressive, and goal-oriented, demonstrating that men of integrity can succeed.
-
I support term limits. "Establishment Politicans" do not support term limits, because it stands in the way of their careers and desire for "power". I believe in a two-term limit for all Senators and a six-term limit for all U.S. Representatives.
-
I am a leader. Being "conservative" doesn't mean you are a leader. Leadership is a learned skill set that must be exercised to be perfected. My leadership was demonstrated through years of military and private business practice complimented with financial rewards and professional advancement. "Establishment Politicans" have demonstrated numerous political failures during their tenure. Despite their status in the Senate and House of Representative, they have been unable to demonstrate objective results from their achievements. In the private sector, leadership without constructive results is considered failure. Politicians should be judged by the same standard.
-
Fair Campaign Finance Conduct. I oppose use of campaign finance laws to achieve financial accumulation. Within 60 days of the end of this campaign, candidates must commit to donate all remaining (Non-personal) campaign funds to a charitable organization ("Wounded Warriors" and groups supporting battered women are my preferences) I believe this was the intent of our founding fathers. Thanks to the McCain / Finegold Campaign Finance Bill, the "Establishment Politicans" accumulate millions from lobbiest during their tenture. Actually, they raise millions even when no election campaigning was required. While it is legal, it generates a perception of inappropriate behavior to the public. True leaders do the right thing because it is right and not just because it is legal. "Establishment Politicans" have failed to recognize this and fail to lead by example. This is a major disappointment. This is not, and should not, be what we want from our elected representatives.
-
I believe in a new breed of Republican. "Establishment Politicans" have clearly lost touch with his party's base and alienated the grassroot republicans. They have failed to properly "communicate" and "embrace" its base and the disenfranchised. The GOP is the true "Home" for the Disadvantaged, Women, Blacks, Hispanics and Poor. These constituants should be running into the ranks of the Republican party. I believe the Republican party must expand its appeal by listening to everyone and gaining their support through actions. The party needs to be changed from within and that is what I intend to do. (I wrote that in 2014, before Trump. I thank God, that President Trump arrived on the scene and demonstrated a belief in these very principles.)
-
I believe that one must "mean what They say and say what They mean". "Establishment Politicans" do not. They openly pander to the "uninformed". They tell them one thing with no intention of that action. Say anything to get elected, then do anything according to the "Establishment's" direction. When they say anything, they stand for nothing. Establishment Politicans are lacking the fundamental foundation of principles that the grass roots and "Grand Old Party" members demand. This hypocrisy can only be overcome with straight-talking replacements.
